# How to add Binance Smart Chain to Metamask

### How to get a Metamask Wallet

1. Download MetaMask from their [official website](https://metamask.io/download.html). They offer support for the browsers Chrome, Firefox, Brave and Edge, as well as both iOS and Android.
2. Create a wallet by following the instructions. Once you get to the backup seed phrase, make sure to write it down on a piece of paper rather than storing it on your computer or phone.
3. Congratulations! You’ve just created a MetaMask account.
4. Click on Networks, select ‘Custom RPC’ and you should see this menu pop up:

![Do fill up the pop-up by using these details:](/files/G58gNZaH9PqufJMFjpQY)

* Network Name: Smart Chain
* New RPC URL: <https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/>
* Chain ID: 56
* Symbol: BNB
* Block Explorer URL: [https://bscscan.com](https://bscscan.com/)

6\. You are all set! Well done.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://tlaunchpad.gitbook.io/faqs/general/how-to-add-binance-smart-chain-to-metamask.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
